From childhood to adulthood, this amazing book travels alongside Nathaniel Miles, a rich boy in a high social class, and Adelaide Winston, a young but poor girl who's parents want her to fit in in a social class they can't even afford. My favorite part of this well-written novel is how people of different backgrounds can get along. Even people on different parts of the social latter can hold hands. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a "sit down and don't look up" type of book. The style of writing Sandra Corton uses makes you feel like you are really there. The humor in this and the confusion between these two best friends is something that I will always be able to laugh about. The blindness of the characters about many topics was the highlight for me. Melt your heart goodness

A perfect wonderful love story of two best friends. Nate so gruff but loving, while Adelaide both feisty and shy. This tale showed how the best friends moved to love with a beautiful ending.
